Sports – serious fun

I take my sports seriously and I aim to maintain competing at the highest levels that my ability has allowed me to thus far.

I have yet to find the limit of my ambition in all my sporting endeavors and I relish the opportunity to be coached at an NCAA Division One university in the USA.

I feel that at that elite level of instruction and guidance, I will develop into the athelete I have set my sights on becoming.

Winning is a habit and I’ve been blessed to have had the opportunity, training and the team to make victory at all available domestic levels a regular experience but I am far from sastisfied and I can’t wait to test myself in even more competetive and  mature levels.

Football

The team I have played for, for the last 4 years is Cruzeiro Acadamy based in Phuket, Thailand who are considered one of the best teams in the region and are compared often with the highest level professional teams in the area.

In 2014 I was fortunate to spend two weeks at Real Madrid’s summer training camp where I played alongside the Mexican national team under 17’s despite being only 15 years old at the time.

Whilst this was indeed intimidating it also inspired me,  built my confidence and improved my skills further. When it came to the tournament stage of the week I managed to keep the Mexican centre half out of the team and this remains one of my best memories.

The experience of playing and having success at these demanding heights fired up my hunger to test myself at this level as often as I can.

Basketball

I consider this my second sport but I’d also like to think that  have skills beyond just my height advantage for my age.

I play power forward or center for my school team and regularly participate inter-school domestic and international tournaments. I find this sport perhaps the most fun way to gain fitness whilst being in a competetive environment and you can do it in any weather too, what’s not to love about it?

Other sports

Well I have yet to find a sport I really don’t like. I live on a tropical paradise island so obviously water sports occure regularly, we live minutes from the beach.

Every year we take an awesome family holiday and this usually provides opportunities to indulge in more sports, recently we went to New Zealand and I got to snow board on some some stunning runs.

I have always been a keen swimmer since in early primary and towards year 10 where I competed and represented the school in many FOBISIA games and swim meets locally and swimming galas .
I also competed in several triathlons in Phuket and my first one was when I was 8 years old and did several more afterwards .
I’m also a certified diver (open water) and water skier and wakeboarder.
